While True Love is an independent software studio. We notice when something is annoying and fix it. That's it.
How we think
We build apps that want you to close them. Not because they're bad - because they've done their job. You opened it, did the thing, and moved on with your life. That's the goal.
No engagement metrics. No streaks designed to guilt you into opening the app. No dark patterns. No "we're building the future of X." Just software that works, made by people who use it.
Small apps. Obvious solutions. No venture capital. No growth hacking. We're not trying to become a platform or capture your attention. We're trying to solve problems and get out of the way.
What we believe
Simple by default
Complexity is easy. Simplicity is hard. We'd rather ship something that does one thing perfectly than ten things poorly.
Privacy as a feature
Your data stays on your device unless there's a good reason otherwise. No accounts when we can avoid them. No tracking beyond what's necessary.
Good enough is often better
Precision isn't always the goal. Sometimes an estimate that takes 10 seconds beats an exact number that takes 10 minutes.
Respect your time
Every tap, every screen, every decision we ask you to make - we question whether it's necessary. Usually it isn't.
What we build
iOS apps, mostly. Tools that solve specific problems we've encountered ourselves. Currently 4 apps live, more in the works.
