Account Information (Optional)
Call Me Alibi can be used without creating an account. If you choose to use Sign in with Apple for premium features, we may receive:
- Name (if provided)
- Email address (unless you choose "Hide My Email")
We do not store or manage passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by Apple.
Voice and Call Data
Call Me Alibi uses AI-powered voice technology to create realistic phone conversations. Here's how your voice data is handled:
- Real-time processing only. Your voice is streamed to our AI provider (ElevenLabs) during active calls to generate responses.
- No recordings stored. We do not record, save, or retain any audio from your conversations.
- No transcripts created. Your conversations are not transcribed or logged.
- Conversations are ephemeral. Once a call ends, the voice data is gone.
App Usage Data
We store the following data locally on your device:
- Selected caller persona preference
- Timer settings
- Scheduled call information
- Total call count (anonymous, for app functionality)
This data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.
Call History
When you use Call Me Alibi, calls appear in your iOS call history. This is managed by iOS (Apple), not by Call Me Alibi. We do not have access to your call history.
Payment Information
All payments and subscriptions are processed securely by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect or store your credit card details or billing information.
Diagnostics (Anonymous)
We may collect limited, anonymous diagnostic data to improve app stability:
- Crash reports
- Performance metrics
- Device type and operating system version
This data contains no personal information and cannot be linked to you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide the fake call and AI conversation service
- Process your voice in real-time to generate AI responses

AI-Powered Features
Call Me Alibi uses ElevenLabs Conversational AI to power realistic phone conversations.
How it works:
- When you answer a fake call, your voice is streamed to ElevenLabs' servers.
- The AI processes your speech and generates contextual responses in real-time.
- This data is used solely to provide the conversation and is not stored after the call ends.
Important: Your voice data is processed by ElevenLabs according to their privacy policy. We have selected ElevenLabs as our provider based on their commitment to privacy and data security.
Data Storage and Security
Local-First Architecture
Call Me Alibi prioritizes a "privacy-first" architecture:
- Preferences and settings are stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage.
- Sensitive data (such as API keys) is stored in your device's Keychain with hardware-level encryption.
- No central database of user activity exists on our servers.

Your Rights and Choices
Data Control
Since your data is stored primarily on your device:
- Access and Correction: You can view and modify your preferences directly within the Call Me Alibi app.
- Deletion: Delete the app to remove all locally stored data. If using iCloud sync, remove associated data from your iCloud settings.
- No Account Required: Use Call Me Alibi without providing any personal information.
Permissions
Call Me Alibi requests the following permissions:
- Microphone: Required for AI conversations during fake calls. Your voice is only accessed during active calls.
- Notifications: Optional. Used to alert you when a scheduled call is about to trigger.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
